The composition is based upon photographs from a sailing trip to Lanai aboard one the Trilogy vessels in 1994. Coming back to Lahaina that day was simply a spectacular experience. The painting is a gesture of thanks to the Coon family for the experience and to the people of Lahaina. Mahalo, Lahaina.
