Painting the traditional west alive today North of the boarder.
MessageWeathering the Bend follows a cowboy and a band of cattle as they wind along a creekside trail through the remote timber country of British Columbia’s Chilcotin region. The narrow route and steep banks slow the herd’s progress, requiring patience as horse, rider, and livestock navigate the country together.
Inspired by a cattle drive near Fosberry Cow Camp on Gang Ranch, this piece reflects the quiet persistence required to move livestock through vast and often unforgiving landscapes. It celebrates the resilience of both the people and animals whose work unfolds far from roads and fences.
