In “Chimère d’origine”, I seek to create a dialogue between materials that are opposites. Porcelain and oxidized steel, each bearing its own memory and roots, come together to give birth to a hybrid form. I like to see this work as a chimera, both fragile and powerful, where origins are not erased but transformed. It’s a metaphor for my own transitions between heritage and becoming.
The final form rests on a base of oxidized steel, designed by collaborating artist Amer Rust, whose artisanal touch strengthens the dialogue at the heart of the series.
