"RAE" was a dynamic sculpture on the median at E. 136th Ave. near I-25.
Its curving design blended organic shapes and futuristic allure. The bright blue, purple, and pink colors were inspired by Colorado's sunsets and selected from several color options by City Council.
"RAE" stands for "Robotic Art Experience". The body of the sculpture was made of a 3D printed mesh created by "robotic" machines. The mesh design avoided heavy, solid components, and allowed rain, snow, and wind to pass through the sculpture. The sculpture's metal legs were anchored into deep concrete pylons.
