Mooo are Yooo? Is from my family of 'A Colourful Wild Life' signature series of colourful characterful animals.

This piece is double mounted, please see images. The exterior measurements of the mount are approximately 15 inches x 11 inches.

What inspired me to create Mooo are Yooo?
I have loved Highland Cows, or Coos if you will, from a very young age. I have been creating artworks of them since I can remember. My wife absolutely loves butterflies and my eldest daughter loves Alice in Wonderland.

Now you may ask. 'If you like Highland cows so much how come there are very few appearing in your collections?' A very good question and I am very glad that you asked. one reason is I haven't created many artworks of Highland Cows in recent years as I have been working on other projects. Many of the highland Cows that I have created I sadly have no photographic records of. Also my very favourite animal is the Sloth and I have only ever created two artworks involving a Sloth and one of those was requested for a commission.

What inspired me to create the A Colourful Wild Life series?
We can all see the character in our own family of creatures. Take my two dogs for instance, pure sisters yet both totally different in character and behaviour. over the years they have both developed some very human characteristics.

My 'A Colourful Wild Life' series which at present are created with ink, pen and watercolour on paper (I'm forever contemplating creating larger acrylic and ink on canvas additions to the family) are a whimsical look at how I imagine the human character would be of all creatures great and small.

I have created A Colourful Wild Life 8ft x 12ft mural of chickens for the 2023 LookUp Portsmouth Street Art Festival.
