Signature Series - The Wibbly Wobbly World of Eb & Flo Collection

The Naïve Wibbly Wobbly World of Eb & Flo:
This lovable travelling colourful, fun, duo, created with acrylic paint on canvas, are as much a part of my life as my own family, without them both life wouldn't be as colourful.  Much of Eb & Flo's  bright colourful travels are to real places, albeit reimagined with a stroke of artistic license, sometimes Eb & Flo visit imagined places which are without doubt inspired by my own life's journey.

Talking of inspiration Eb & Flo were shaped by my 1970's/80's childhood, I was fascinated by the UK saucy seaside postcards , comics books, cartoons on TV and the amazing British Female Artist the late Beryl Cook.

Eb & Flo, created to make you smile.

Signature Style - A Wibbly Wobbly World Collection

A Wibbly Wobbly World:
My signature naïve landscape style which was inspired by my childhood, UK saucy seaside postcards from our family coastal holidays, the comic books that adorned my bedroom floor, the cartoons and animated films that I watched intently and of course the wonderful late Beryl Cook.  I loved the sense of fun, the bright colours, the dark linework,  the ability to make people smile with pictures.  Written and spoken languages are great but they have barriers,  the language of art is free of these barriers.  It doesn't matter what country you are from, what language you speak art can communicate with you.

My naïve Wibbly Wobbly World artworks are mainly created using acrylic paint on canvas or pen, ink and watercolour on paper.

Signature Series - A Colourful Wild Life Collection

What inspired me to create the whimsical characters of A Colourful Wild Life series?
I absolutely love creating these whimsical characters but the Colourful Wild Life signature series was never intended to be a series or a signature style for that matter.   A signature style is something that artists strive for, often for years, and I was fortunate enough to already have a successful signature series in the shape of my Wibbly Wobbly Landscapes.

The Colourful Wild Life series started out life as a single artwork of two Emus' titled 'Hello?' created for a workshop.   During the workshop I also created a Hare titled 'Mad? I'm Livid!' in a similar style.  People loved them so much that they requested that I create more which sold off of the easel.  So I created three more and trialled them in two exhibitions where they all sold within hours.  A new signature series was born.

Wildlife Collection

Wildlife:
Whilst I have my signature styles, Eb & Flo, Colourful Wild Life, A Wibbly Wobbly World, I have in the past and still do create a variety of artworks in many other styles using different mediums and supports.  I teach art and I still like to play.  People want to learn the many different sides to art for which I have to have a working knowledge.  To have this knowledge I have to personally create all types of different artworks which can make me look unashamedly eclectic.

So from my years of playing, discovering and teaching through to the present day this collection will hold all of creations in different styles and mediums with wildlife of air, land and sea as it's main subject matter.
