Pitcher, 7.5 inches. Blue transfer. Unknown maker. The pre-eminent side of the pitcher features a large cluster of chrysanthemums loosely angled from the top right. The partial border at the rim is also seen in this view and contains the flower buds and leaves. In the additional image, the reverse side of the pitcher features a cartouche containing a sailboat on an expanse of water. Backing the cartouche is a spray of wild roses and buds.
