Plate, 9 inches diameter. Brown transfer with copper lustre clobbering. The impressed mark “P” could refer to several makers, therefore the maker is listed as unknown. It has a white reserve with no central motif. Four identical stems of naturalistically-rendered blackberries, blossoms, buds and serrated leaves form a wide border which extends into the cavetto of the platter. Each branch rests atop a delicate stem of heather. A continuous narrow vine encircles the outer edge of the rim, neatly framing the composition of blackberry stems.
