Plate, 9 inches diameter. Black transfer with polychrome clobbering and gilding. Unknown maker. The Rd. No. indicates a pattern registration date of 1885. The impressed '8/84' indicates a manufacture date of August 1884. The charming center square depicts three small children, one blindfolded, playing the game 'Blind Man's Bluff." An old gate in the background has a flowering vine draping over it. Around and behind the square vignette, a large cluster of deep purple grapes on a vine with leaves and a bee frames the scene. A much smaller cluster of grapes is seen at the bottom right. A simple gold line forms the border.
