Plate, 8.875 inches diameter. Brown transfer. Maker is Whittaker & Co. This pattern features a huge waterwheel with a stairway and two small figures at the top that dominates the central cartouche. The cartouche is framed with thorny sticks and leaflets, which is in turn framed with apple blossom branches.
