Gardens & Gates Series from Miriam McClung

Miriam has painted both gardens and gates as favorite subjects over her career.

Many of the works were painted at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens in Alabama while others were painted at private gardens around the southeastern United States.

Subjects for the gates came from several gates in her own backyard (ie the "lions") and even gates from her trip to Israel in 2003.
