“‘Art collection’ often conjures up images of expensive paintings worth thousands, but collecting art can be enjoyed at almost any level. I hope this collection throughout the hotel shows that relatively inexpensive pieces — when thoughtfully chosen and displayed — can bring just as much pleasure as works hanging in major galleries.
Most of these pictures have been gathered over many years from auctions, brocantes, car boot sales, house clearances and even the occasional skip!
One of the pleasures of having a hotel is being able to display a wide variety of artworks that might never find a place at home, but which can be enjoyed by a wider audience here.
