Did you know Van Gogh lived in Ramsgate for 3 months in 1876 whilst teaching in a school in Spencer Square (just around the corner)?. Check out the 2 blue plaques at numbers 11 Spencer Square and 6 Royal Road at the west side of Spencer Square. One of them is where he lived and the other is where the school was. He moved when the school relocated to Isleworth in London.
