This work explores the sense of surreal we experienced through the pandemic. Like we were floating, detached from the familiar. Floating above the ground. Ungrounded. Maybe the boat suggests that I wanted to float away from the pain, travel into the sky in a dream-like way. I remember feeling calmer after creating this work.
