St. Elizabeth Catholic Church was one of my stops in my recent Eureka Springs, Arkansas, US trips to focus on the unique, interesting, historical, and peaceful, and this church with a bell tower from which you walk down to the church past the 14 stations of the cross among part of the beautiful garden grounds.
If you have seen my pieces Perspective and Crossways you know my fascination with bell towers and it was lovely to even here and partially audio record the bells chiming. Bells small and large are beautiful for their significance in many aspects of a long history and for their pure tones that sometimes chime and sometimes melody. I loved this bell tower with its gateway to a church and its setting in gardens--also if you know me, you know how I love flora.
It was built in 1906 after the manner of a church in St. Sophia's Church in Istanbul, Turkey (https://www.eurekasprings.com/historical/church.html).
