In "They Don’t Make Sh*t Like They Used To (the Hills)," I revisit the reservoir below the Hollywood sign in Los Angeles, a place tied to my childhood memories. The painting is dense yet playful, reflecting on my hopes, dreams, and the vision I had of my potential and future. In this piece, I photo-transfer digital images from my sketchbook onto the canvas, layering acrylics to create a textured, tactile expression. This process brings the 2D digital world into the 3D realm of my fine art practice, merging memory and medium. It’s an exploration of how I navigated through a sea of dreamers, working to carve out my own unique path.
