"Years Later" reflects on a spot behind one of my college classrooms where I used to hang out with friends. It was a familiar smoke spot, but after a stressful run-in with undercover police, the way I saw the space changed forever. The winter setting in the painting captures that cold uncertainty, turning what was once a comfortable hangout into something more unsettling. Through muted tones, reflective imagery, and an introspective composition, Years Later explores how places evolve through memory and experience, blending the good times with the more difficult moments.
