From the ongoing series "Objects Quotidiennes" of everyday objects in an effort to catalog the past and awaken nostalgic memories or evoke curiosity. Similar to other projects this body of work explores recurring layers of memory and reflections on time while engaging the viewer with texture and shape, allowing for their own particular associations to come through.
The two letter, five number format "2L-5N" used on this work is the number from I Love Lucy.
In the middle of the 20th century, there were telephone exchanges: the hubs through which an area's calls would be routed.
Done in street art fashion using layered images, ripped and/ or wrinkled. Signed on recto. Ready to hang as is with screws/nails through holes made on the top corners.
