Notre Dame Painting Process
At the time I started painting this Notre Dame horse painting, I was trying different color techniques. Although the color and composition were good, it needed more and ended up sitting for a while, nearly two years before I completed it.
Finally, a super creative mood hit me, and I acted on it. Normally I use more brush techniques often combined with some painting knife, but this painting started off with paintbrushes then completely finished with painting knives.
Inspiration
Janice Laskey was kind enough to provide a wonderful reference photo as the initial inspiration. My love of color and paint did the rest. This product is being framed in a floater frame as soon as the frame arrives.
