This artwork explores where we seek solace when confronted with enduring pain, which continues to take center stage as the world experiences various tragedies.
Each figure in the painting deeply experiences and navigates pain in their own unique way. When we find that place of solace, we establish roots within ourselves, firmly grasping our souls, enabling us to persevere, stand tall again, and move forward.
To gather diverse perspectives on this topic, I reached out to numerous participants through social media. Their responses reflected a range of coping mechanisms, including religion, solitude, comfort, and even anger. These diverse insights provided a rich tapestry of experiences, shaping the narrative of the artwork.
