This work highlights the challenges faced by rabbits—intelligent, gentle, and social creatures—subjected to severe mistreatment in countless lab experiments worldwide due to their ease of confinement and breeding. These experiments thrive due to consumerism. To change this, we must alter consumer habits. A crucial first step is to thoughtfully scrutinize and choose products based on labels.
The artwork employs vibrant colors to maintain a theme of hope rather than despair.
As with much of my work, the final process involves carefully placing symbols that intersect cultures, objects, and moments in time. These clusters are my way of searching for balance—within the piece and within myself—amidst a chaotic world. It becomes a visual prayer, distilling complexity into a hopeful narrative of harmony and connection.
Painting is sold unframed with finished edges.
