This is the third in a series of paintings of a Farm in Hartland VT. The fields, rows of trees, summer light and shadows really attract me to this particular spot. I have simplified the landscape a little, but it is true to the location. The birch trees added a nice element to the composition and give it a bright accent in the middle of all those greens and golds. While I have only painted this spot as a summer painting, I suspect I will be returning in both Autumn and Winter to see what the landscape presents.
