I had my eye on this spot along my drive to the gallery where I work for a long time. I would visit and stop different times of day all summer into autumn. I just knew there would be a time when this spot would entice me to break out the paint. It was late summer, early autumn when the wild flowers in the field were lending a spot of color that I finally committed to this little painting. There is a hint of an old dirt track running along the tree line that has since grown in. Overall I was really happy with the light and feel of this painting.
