Andrew was crucified on an "X" crucifix where he hung for two days while preaching the gospel to over
20,000 priest and women. He was the brother to Simon Peter.
Together with Peter, Andrew owned a house in Capernaum (Mark 1:29). However like Peter and Philip, he comes from Bethsaida. He was formerly a disciple of St. John the Baptist (John 1:34-40).
In Church tradition he appears as the first Bishop of Constantinople.
Legend has it that he was crucified and hung on the cross for two days, preaching from the cross to 20,000 priests and women!

Principal attribute: the St. Andrew's cross, or a cross with two cross beams – or a Latin cross.
