The Olive Tree

This work is created using reference painting sketches, photographs and my memory from traveling this spring to a farm outside of Florence Italy. The painting of the olive tree seems to collapse history and time onto a contemporary the canvas. As a 40 x 30 inch oil on canvas painting it provides a good-sized view of the Italian countryside.
