The shimmering view was totally worth hiking in two km with my painting gear to stand on the shore near the bench and paint. Seascapes, like all other landscapes only more so, are unique in each moment of time and space. A plein air painter must build on the substantive mysterious sensory essence of a place that then becomes embedded in every brushstrokes of the painting. Such was the method practiced on this day.
