Artist notes: Soft waves wash over the mussels and recede and then wash forward again to the rhythm of the Salish Sea. Sun sparkles like tiny bells of joy off the wet mussels. I am building inner peace, wellbeing and above all resilience. This unassuming painting is my protest against our heavy burdens of collective despair.
