The evening is warm and the light soft as I stand on a jetty type wharf located at the foot of Seaview Road that had been built in 1911 for the purpose of loading barges with bricks. The Franco Canadian Brickworks Company closed when the first World War broke out and European capital was withdrawn. Only the base cement construction remains and it is a favourite spot for both locals and visitors to watch the sun and moon rise or just to observe the day rolling along between the islands. A great location for evening plein air painting!
