I started this piece not knowing what the end result would be, but after I started mixing my favorite blues, golds, and silver together I saw a deep blue background resembling water with a bed of silvery sand beneath. From there I used a collage technique and cut out all different sizes of circles to create big bubbles floating up to the top. Adding more textures and dimensions I used a glass bottle cutting tool, a hot and cold water technique to get the glass ringlets in clear glass, and cobalt blue to lay throughout the piece.
Many blue lusters, teal luster, clear, and cobalt blue flat gems placed throughout the entire piece along with crushed glass in transparent blue/mirror and clear/mirror that resemble bubbles.
Multilayered in Resin to create the smooth glass finish, protect your piece from harmful UV rays and other HALS. This will ensure your piece stays bright and bold for years and years to come.
The most prevalent colors in this piece are deep shades of blue, green, silver. Accents are gold, purple, light teal.
This piece was accented with the perfect custom made floating frame in a soft matte, black metal frame.
Created on a 40"x30"x1.5" gallery cradled wood panel that I treated with a primer on all sides twice before use.
In the final steps before resin coating, I sprayed the ink collage background with 3 coats of satin varnish and 2 layers of UV Gallery Series Protectant.
So the gorgeous colors are well protected.
My artwork comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
