Divergence

This series of abstract painting pairs begins with shared origins — bold mark-making, saturated colour, and expressive form. As each pair develops, the works diverge: one retains its vibrant, extroverted energy; the other turns inward, quieting the composition and masking space between shapes. Through sanding, layering, and restraint, I explore how contrast can emerge from common ground. These pairs reflect yin and yang energies — not opposites, but complements. Together, they invite viewers to consider: Where do you see yourself? What do you sense beneath the surface?

wild-HER-ness

The 'wild-HER-ness' collection is about freedom, self-expression, and taking up space without apology. Through large, bold, and raw abstract paintings, I seek to bend the rules of art and challenge the ways women are told to hold back, stay small, or censor themselves.

These paintings  are inspired by nature, movement, and instinct, using big strokes, rich textures, and flowing, unpredictable forms. I worked on large substrates and loose canvas to avoid feeling confined by the edges of the painting, allowing the energy of each piece to expand beyond its physical borders. The pieces feel wild and untamed—free from limits and full of energy. This collection is both a statement and a rebellion: a refusal to shrink, stay quiet, or fit into narrow expectations.

The 'wild-HER-ness' collection is an immersive experience that invites viewers to step into a world where emotions take the lead and creativity has no rules. It is about breaking free, speaking up, and embracing the wild, powerful voice within. These paintings celebrates women who refuse to be confined, offering a space where art and self-expression are as big, bold, and limitless as they choose to be.

Second Chance/Take Two

We all need second chances. In life, in relationships, in the ways we see ourselves and the world around us. My painting practice reflects this idea—offering past works the opportunity to grow, shift, and become something new.

As an emerging artist, I am constantly evolving, and my work evolves with me. In Second Chance/Take Two, I return to paintings I once considered complete—some even previously exhibited—and build upon them with fresh ideas and perspectives. By working back into these pieces, I create layered compositions that honour the past while embracing change. Traces of the original remain visible, much like the way our past experiences shape us, even as we move forward.

This process is not just conceptual; it is also practical. Art materials are expensive, and rather than discarding works that no longer resonate, I choose to transform them. This approach speaks to sustainability, both in art and in life—recognizing the potential for renewal rather than erasure.

These works become a chronicle of growth, resilience, and reinvention. The resulting surfaces, rich with multiple layers and time periods, invite the viewer to reflect on their own experiences of change and second chances.

Dreamscapes

The Dreamscapes collection drifts into the space between waking and sleeping, where colours blur, shapes dissolve, and nothing holds still for long. These paintings are ethereal and elusive—built from sweeping brushstrokes and layers of shifting hues that merge and melt into one another like half-remembered dreams. Each work is alive with movement, echoing the rhythm of breath, tide, or wind.

Painted standing, with the whole body engaged, these pieces carry the physicality of their making. Wide arcs of the arm, twists of the torso, and grounded steps leave their traces in the paint. The process is spontaneous and immersive, a dance between intention and surrender, control and release.

In Dreamscapes, colour takes the lead. Deep blues, sun-warmed oranges, and flashes of light weave together in unexpected harmony, inviting the eye to wander. The paintings don’t settle into one story but shift with every viewing—sometimes expansive, sometimes intimate, always suggestive of more than what’s seen.

These works speak to anyone drawn to mystery, to the fluidity of memory and imagination. They invite quiet reflection, sparking a sense of wonder that is at once grounding and otherworldly. Perfect for those who long to carry a piece of the dream world into waking life, Dreamscapes offers art that feels like a breath, a whisper, a fleeting glimpse of something just beyond reach.

Fractured Harmony

The Fractured Harmony collection explores the tension and interplay between contrast and cohesion, structure and flow, linearity and texture. Each piece is constructed from hand-cut papers layered across the surface, allowing bold, deliberate strokes to coexist with softer, subtler marks. The result is a dynamic visual rhythm that rewards careful observation, revealing new interactions, textures, and relationships with every viewing.

Within the series, pairs of pieces—like Sunset Bloom and Tidal Flowers—highlight complementary energies: one may carry a radiant, almost floral energy, while its counterpart evokes the expansiveness of landscape, yet both remain fully abstract. These contrasts reflect the idea that distinct elements can coexist, dialogue, and harmonize, producing a sense of discovery, tension, and delight.

Collectors who are drawn to layered abstraction, subtle surprises, and textural nuance will find the Fractured Harmony series particularly compelling. Each work invites engagement, offering moments of reflection, curiosity, and quiet joy. Whether viewed individually or as part of the series, the pieces embody a delicate balance of playfulness, elegance, and expressive depth.
