I have called my painting of Takaya’s face - ‘Mirror for Humanity’, because when humans see a wolf it seems to fall into two categories. The viewer will either see a cold, calculating killer or a beautiful, intelligent living creature. Wolves are both and in fact Humans are too. Humans are the most destructive species on Earth, capable of such kindness and yet responsible for the global extinction of hundreds of species of animals and plants. So, what do you see when you look at a wolf’s face? Is it a mirror on your thoughts and feelings?
