Cocoon by Susan Yennerell Image: In Cocoon, I explore the delicate balance between transformation and containment through a swirling dance of line, shapes, color, and value. The interplay of vibrant hues converges and diverges, creating a dynamic visual rhythm that evokes a state of becoming taking place. Embedded within the swirling organic shapes are subtle hints of a butterfly’s wing in transition, suggesting the change is both powerful and intimate. The transitions throughout the composition invite the viewers to ponder their own experiences of growth and transformation. Cocoon is a meditation on the quiet strength found in moments of transition. It captures the essence of being on the brink of something new, enveloped in a space of potential, and the beauty inherent in our process of becoming. Through this work, I aim to evoke a sense of wonder and reflection, celebrating the infinite possibilities that arise from the embrace of change.
