LA Burning was started as the fires began. They weren't linked to climate change initially. I realized during annual trips to LA that the changes in their landscape, particularly the lowered water table, was going to affect the trees. Tree roots are in the top 3 feet of the soil. The trees would be prone to fire and infestation without water.
