This painting was inspired by a photograph of a young boy watering outdoor plants that I found in a very old family album. It was probably taken in the 1930's. I was totally captivated by the image of this little boy and his unique system of watering the plants. I did a drawing first, but really wanted to paint him. The photo was sepia, so the painting fit right in to my sepia body of work.
