I began this piece from a live model drawing. The model was posed on an animal print blanket, holding the parasol. She was unclothed so that I could see her form and decide where to draw the animal print across her body. The concept for this piece comes from the frustration of having limited places to exhibit art of the nude form. Her nudity is camouflaged by the pattern running across her body. But still, if you look closely, she is nude.
