“Twin” is one creation in an expansive project that emerged from my personal journey in aging. She has a dual presence and sees the world from two perspectives. “Portrait of a Woman” is a n extensive project encompassing artworks in multiple media. The image project began in 2016 and continues with artworks currently . This piece uses my technique of using my self portrait melded with a landscape of a beloved bird refuge where I find serenity and solace.
The origin of the project grew from my personal journey in aging. Pieces incorporate my face with natural elements.
After six years now the pieces in this collection include canvas, metal and paper prints as well as a few small experimentations.

The “Portrait of a Woman” series, is produced digitally with iPhone and iPad. Unflinchingly, I capture my face as well as surrounding elements - trees, water, plants and structures. I turn my iPhone toward myself, as aging woman blending my image with the natural environment. I explore a myriad of approaches melding the captured world with my own image coupling my likeness with titles, poetry, quotes, personal stories and beliefs. Each fused image builds new meanings transforming to offer a greater message.
