Based on an original photograph taken by me in the mid 1980's aboard a Japanese warship. This work is created with multiple alternate layers of acrylic paint, archival digital printing, and acrylic mediums. The result is a unique and luminous painted finish layered down on vintage Fabriano paper.

This piece is the original entry selected as a finalist in the National Contemporary Art Awards, 2023, Waikato Museum.
