Metaphor for enlightenment: Gold's radiant luster is said to evoke the illuminating wisdom of spiritual truths.

Many of my paintings start with a kind of swagger. Painted rapidly in response to the view. I decided I liked it's style and left it fresh and bold.

One of the new acrylic paintings created en plein air. I have loved painting these energetic and colourful canvases. They are enlivened by the wonderful location and often incorporate sand from the beach.

The sides have a deep edge which is painted in a suitable colour.
