I am holding the space

These are studio drawings informed by spatial verbs (e.g., rotate, expand, shift, merge, branch, merge, pack) as verbal prompts as well as my bodily constitution as physical prompt for action- The repetitive mark making became a performance between my body's endurance and the paper, visualized through the pen in my hand moving across the paper surface.
One could say that these series of drawings are a portrait of myself trying to capture the reach of my body, Lines are informed by the organic nature of my body, straight lines appear when I keep my body parts stiff.
