I'm inspired by the bold simplicity of Amish quilts. In my version of a traditional Railroad Crossing quilt, I used scraps of fabric found at a local re-use store as well as remnant linen and bed sheets. I hand quilted muc of the quilt with thick threads and large stitches to emphasize the work.
