All of the pieces of fabric used to make this quilt top were from the "stash" of Eli Leon. Eli was a well-known quilt collector, and he was also a quilt maker. When he moved out of his house he left behind piles of vintage fabric yardage, pieces of clothing and scraps. While working with these fabrics that had struck his fancy in some way and looking through his books for inspiration, I reflected on the impact he made in my life and the voice he gave to quilters that may otherwise have been labelled "anonymous."
