A mountain stream cascades down the rocky slope of a mountain in Fraser Canyon, British Columbia, Canada. Painted on location on a drive back to Alaska in the Spring of 1989, the painting remained in an unfinished condition for 35 years, before finally being refined to completion in 2025. This was one of the very first paintings done in the artist’s Alaska-Canada Highway Series, to which new paintings have been occasionally added through the years, stopping along the highways in British Columbia, Yukon Territory and inside Alaska.
