Kluane Lake is huge, deep, and cold! and is along the Alaska-Canada Highway. On a morning in May almost all of the snow is gone from the mountains across the lake. Along the shoreline the ice is melting. The sun is rising in a cold sky. This was the artist's first painting at Kuane Lake. / Frame is clear pine with wax finish.
