“When people travel, they may not remember what they saw, but that they saw something special. Knowing the importance of the landscape and connection we have to the land, I take pictures to make sure people do not forget those places and their importance. I try to show the beauty of South Dakota, and when they see my photos, they remember stories of what is out there. I never thought about being a photographic artist, but was encouraged by family members. I still consider myself an emerging artist though I’ve been taking pictures as long as I can remember.”
