This serving bowl had three lions feet, In translation it has two and contains a peony. This flower has a long cultural history in Eastern countries with a variety of meanings that were a was into the subject matters of migrants dialogues. Some of those associations were shame riches and honor and healing the flower is also very beautiful. Dialogues with recent female Migrants about experiences and nativity upon an arrival in Europe influenced this piece. Some migrants had made the journey several times complicating the idea of a new "first" arrival in Europe. The "exotic" flower actually has a history of native growth in Europe. The serving bowl has a handle, the issue of control is central to this piece. Who has a handle on this woman when she embarks how independent is she or can she become. What can she offer what can be taken from her. Dialogues about the Sextrade where an influence on this piece.
