Vientre

The Spanish word 'vientre' means belly. In this triptych I wanted to describe nature as something that gives birth to life and all that surrounds us. The references are taken from my garden in La Pampa, Argentina. For example the pear tree in bloom, an olive tree and a butterfly on a rosemary bush. The right panel illustrates this sense of 'belly' with the curve of the earth and gives a slightly removed, planetary perspective. I had initially worked on the left and centre panels and then after some reflection decided to add the right panel.
