The background is a whirling mass of collisions and turmoil of expanding and fading realities akin to an abyss. In the foreground, a hummingbird is caught in suspended animation. The hummingbird is my protagonist, my silver-lining, rising up out of the confusion delicate as a leaf on the breeze; free. The title was inspired by the poem of Maya Angelou.
