This rendering was inspired during a plein air competition in Kingsport, TN ("Paint Kingsport") July of 2023, winning an Honorable Mention by Juror, Karen Philpot. The morning mist surrounding those distance mountains were so peaceful and as I stood there painting the serenity in shades of blue and green, it looked as though this boat was skating across the glass, the weather was perfect and I imagined the boaters were in awe as the morning unfolded! Such a perfect day!
