Between Stillness and Motion
Through the act of weaving, I transform the fragments of consumer culture that carry the stories, excess, and visual language of the world we inhabit—physical evidence of our habits, desires, and environmental impact. My work becomes an expression of repair, connection, and reclamation, translating environmental concern into visual poetry where resilience, renewal, and meaning emerge from what has been discarded.
Reclaimed Spaces
"Reclaimed Spaces" is a sculptural series that explores themes of urban life, sustainability, and community resilience. Composed of patch quilt-like structures made from woven recycled banners, each piece evokes the shapes and textures of houses or apartments, reflecting the layered histories and stories embedded within cityscapes. The interplay of vibrant colors and repurposed materials creates an aesthetic that is both gritty and warm, emphasizing the beauty of reimagined, reclaimed materials. Through this series, I aim to encourage viewers to reflect on the value of resourcefulness and the potential for new narratives in our shared spaces.

Rescued Refuse 2018-2022
I transform the physical possibilities of paint and material by using it as a tactile substance to be cut apart and reassemble. My paintings are labor-intensive. They are not predetermined, they are meticulously pieced together; crafted rather than executed. Remnants of paintings, found material and vinyl banner advertisements are torn, cut, poured and twisted, leads directly to the production of new work. In this way, process is sometimes the impetus for making the work. I am interested in the fragments of human imprint as the mark of connection between nature and humanity.
Taking Flight
Taking Flight is a series that transforms discarded street banners and sculpted wire mesh into evocative works of art. By intricately cutting and weaving the banners through the mesh, I create delicate, visually dynamic pieces that seem to float in mid-air. This sense of suspension and movement brings the artwork to life, inviting viewers into a unique, immersive experience. The contrast between the fragile woven designs and the gritty urban origins of the banners sparks contemplation, encouraging reflection on themes of transformation, sustainability, and the hidden beauty within the everyday.
