I create art from discarded vinyl banners, using my practice to explore the impact of human consumption and reveal beauty in what we leave behind.
MessageCollection: Reclaimed Spaces
"Reclaimed Spaces" is a sculptural series that explores themes of urban life, sustainability, and community resilience. Composed of patch quilt-like structures made from woven recycled banners, each piece evokes the shapes and textures of houses or apartments, reflecting the layered histories and stories embedded within cityscapes. The interplay of vibrant colors and repurposed materials creates an aesthetic that is both gritty and warm, emphasizing the beauty of reimagined, reclaimed materials. Through this series, I aim to encourage viewers to reflect on the value of resourcefulness and the potential for new narratives in our shared spaces.
